Why is the Fat on my Legs not Going Away?

There is a condition known as lipoedema that affects about 11% of women worldwide.

It starts either during puberty or after having children and results in fat accumulation especially on the lower limbs.

At the extreme end of the spectrum it can look like “Michellin Man” and on the other spectrum it can look relatively normal.

Unfortunately many women get labelled with being overweight and eating too much and not exercising enough when they actually have a medical condition that often gets missed by health practitioners.
