Facial Laser Treatments
At Doctor Vein we use the gold standard Cutera Excel V Laser system for targeted facial vein and redness removal.
What is Facial Laser Treatment?
At Doctor Vein we use the latest laser technology to eradicate facial spider veins, broken capillaries, rosacea and red patches on your face, neck and upper body.
The Excel V Laser System is a new state-of-the-art approach to treating vascular skin conditions that puts patients’ safety and comfort first. The system uses a unique high power green laser that is absorbed by abnormal blood vessels in the skin. The laser heats and eliminates the abnormal vessels, ultimately restoring normal skin tone and colour.
The Excel V laser is customised to each patient’s skin condition. It has an adjustable spot size which allows for precise treatment of both superficial and deeper problems. To ensure patient comfort, Excel V uses new cooling technologies which produce continuous cooling before, during and after the laser pulse.
The number of sessions needed depends on various parameters, including the size, thickness and colour of the vascular lesion. Superficial vascular lesions such as small spider veins and diffused redness are easiest to treat; some patients see improvement after just one treatment.

How is Facial Laser Treatment performed?
The facial laser treatment is performed by Dr Param in the Frankston Vein Clinic.
During the initial consultation Dr Param will examine the affected area and assess your skin condition. He will then advise on the recommended treatment. This may involve a combination of laser and sclerotherapy injections.
The facial laser treatment is performed in our comfortable “laser room”. You lie back with a soft pillow and safety googles on while Dr Param targets the affected area with the laser beam. You may feel a slight sting as the laser pulses the skin. The treatment usually takes 10-15 minutes to complete.
Dr Param will ask you to come back once the skin settles to review the area and conduct further treatments if needed.
