No referral is required to make an appointment for an initial consultation at Doctor Vein. However, we do accept referrals and will keep your GP informed of your treatment and progress.

Yes, there is onsite parking at the Frankston, Warragul and Werribee clinic. If this is your first appointment please arrive 10 minutes early to complete a new patient questionnaire.

The initial consultation for varicose veins and spider veins on the legs will take 45 mins to 1 hour. During this time a screening duplex ultrasound will be conducted to show the internal condition of your veins. Dr Param will review your medical history and physically examine the affected area/s. He will devise a bespoke treatment plan based on your condition. You will also receive a breakdown of all treatment costs, including all available Medicare rebates. You will know what to expect from the treatment and have all your questions answered during this consult.

The initial consult for facial vein conditions will take between 20-30 minutes. Dr Param will review your medical history and discuss factors such as diet that may be contributing to your facial redness. He will exam the affected area under magnification and photographs will be taken. He will devise a treatment plan and provide you with a breakdown of costs.

No, you are unable to claim our treatments on your private health insurance as our procedures are not performed in a private hospital. With the latest treatments there is no need for general anaesthetic, as we strive to keep healthy people out of the hospital.

Yes, Medicare rebates are available on your treatments including a rebate for the cost of your initial consultation with Dr Param.

Yes, Dr Param will need to consult with you before varicose veins, spider veins and facial vein treatments in order to devise the best treatment plan for you.

No, all duplex ultrasound scans are performed onsite by either our Sonographer or Dr Param.

Yes, however we will still need to conduct a new scan on you to assess the condition of your veins and more importantly plan treatment.

Dr Param will thoroughly talk to you about the post care for your treatment. If you are having treatment for varicose veins you can expect to wear compression stockings for 2-3 weeks and to refrain from rigorous exercise for this time.

We have treated patients as young as 16 years and as old as 90 years. Both males and females can be affected by vein disease at any time in their lives. All our procedures are performed by a specialised medical doctor who will examine your medical history before recommending treatments.
