Exercising With Varicose Veins

If you work out a lot, whether it be weight training, running, cycling or even group training, you may be wondering what happens to your varicose veins.

Generally, if you already have varicose veins, the increased pressure generated with exercise can cause them to protrude more.

This increase in protrusion will cause more heaviness and aching of the legs especially at the end of the day. You may also notice more veins becoming prominent that were not there before.

The progression of venous disease increases at a quicker rate leading to the risk of bleeding, itching and pigmentation.
