Causes of Poor Circulation
If you feel the circulation in your legs are poor, these are some of the causes:
- Peripheral arterial disease
- This is a condition that affects your arteries and the predominant symptom is pain in your legs, worse on exertion and exercise. Relieved by rest
- Diabetes
- Here you have poor blood glucose control and over time can develop numbness in the legs
- Varicose veins
- Here you get tingling, heaviness and aching and you feel the circulation is not great
- Raynauds disease
- This is worsened by being in cold environments, whereby the tips of your fingers, toes or even lips can get blue or purplish
- Obesity
- Being overweight or obese places a tremendous amount of pressure on your lower legs preventing blood from being pumped up back to the heart
